Holland Expects To Decide Monday

Kentucky quarterback Al Holland received an offer from Wake Forest this past week and decided to visit Wake this past weekend. What were his impressions of Wake?

"I made the visit and everything," Al Holland said. "It went well. They offered me a scholarship this past week and I wanted me to come in for a visit this week. I didn't know much about Wake and wanted to meet the coaching staff and see exactly what kind of offense they were running."

How was the visit overall? "Oh I enjoyed it real well," he said. "My host was Arby Jones and we had a real good time. He showed me around. It was a beautiful campus and [Arby] seemed like he liked it a lot and he's a kid from Kentucky too. It's an ACC school so you're going to play good teams."

If Holland attended Wake, what would Wake fans expect to see out of the 6'3, 215-pounder from Perry County Central High School? DeaconSports asked Holland, who threw for around 2,200 yards this season and rushed for 8-900 more, what his strengths and weaknesses were in his game. "I'm real mobile in the pocket, I think," he said. "I've got a very strong arm. My weakness is that I probably need to work on is my quickness and feet. I see the field well and learn easy, those are the things about me."

Holland currently has three offers, Eastern Kentucky, Western Kentucky, and Wake Forest. Eastern Kentucky and Wake Forest are his finalists.

When will he make his decision? "I'll probably make it tomorrow," Holland said.
