The junior QB has compiled some impressive stats. He attempted 155 passes out of 300 for 2586 yards, 28 touchdowns and 7 ints. He also had 71 carries for 252 yards and 4 rushing touchdowns, 1 reception for 55 yards and a receiving td, 51 punts for a total of 1727 yards punting, which is an average of 33.86 yards.
"I think I have a strong arm, and when necessary I can also put touch on the ball," says Beecher. I'm pretty athletic and people say I don't make a lot of mistakes out on the football field, but if there is one area that I need to work on it's my ability to read defenses right now. That will come with experience."
When you factor in his love for the game, you can see why he is a solid prospect.
"I love being able to play in front of all those people knowing that I'm basically in control out there because I'm the quarterback, being a leader by example in front of my teammates."
Tommy has been getting quit a bit of attention.
"I have heard from Duke, UVA, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. With no clear-cut leader, Tommy knows what it will take to choose the right school.
"I'm looking at their passing offense and good academics; coaches with character are on the top of the list."
With junior days popping up on Calendars, Tommy has his schedule almost set. "I have been to Duke, Clemson has asked, ECU has asked but I won't be able to make it, and Wake Forest has asked.
