Mike Davis: Like Eddie George

RB Mike Davis (5-10, 210, 4.5) of Columbia (S.C.) has several scholarship offers already, but is nowhere near making a decision. For that matter, he doesn't even have a serious top five.

"I have an open mind," said Davis. "I want to see that I'd be able to fit into the offense and see how deep each school is. Also, I want to major in sports medicine, so that will be important. I don't plan to narrow it down until I start taking my visits."

He denies a leader but favors Georgia, North Carolina (offer), Maryland (first offer in March), South Carolina (offer), Clemson and Wake Forest (offer). He also has offers from Michigan and Kentucky.

"Michigan and Kentucky are verbal right now. They told my coach and I should be getting that in the mail soon. All the others told my coach first and then I got the letter in the mail. North Carolina just offered me last week."

Mike plans to attend several camps this summer, but is still unsure about which ones he'll go to. But he is planning to attend the JR Day at Georgia on Apr 17. "It's a good program and it's close, so I decided to go to their JR Day."

"South Carolina is only 15 miles away and Clemson is about two hours away, but I have family all over so that doesn't matter to me."

Mike finished his JR year with 2347 yds and 25 TDs. He benches 270, squats 475 and has a VJ of 35.

"I have great field vision. I also have great power and speed. I'm like an Eddie George runner. I still want to improve my speed and quickness. I want to work on reading defenses better."
