Kelly was able to overwhelm defenders last year as well as outrun them. "I am good at reading blocks and I run with power. I am also very physical on defense, which is where I would prefer to play in college, I also know that I need to work on my speed and strength," said Kelly.
Adam in fact grew up in Knoxville, Tenn., both of his parents went to Tennessee and as a result he became a Tennessee fan. Does that mean that is where Kelly wants to go to college? Adam answered, "No, I would actually like to go to Georgia." It is no surprise that Georgia tops Kelly's favorites list along with Tennessee, NC State, and Wake Forest.
"I have also received letters from UNC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Clemson." Stated Adam when asked who else had been showing him interest. "Wherever I choose, I would like to stay in the southeast."
What exactly is Adam looking for in a school? "I'm looking for a nice atmosphere, along with a nice campus. The team I play for needs to have coaches that work well with the players."
Kelly's honors for this past season reflected his hard work on the field. "I was Gridiron Great of the Week (Local ABC affiliate award), and I was named to the All-Conference team."
Adam was able to sum up his love for the game in one word "unity". Factor that into how he plays the game and you can see he is drawing the attention he is. "I play the game at 110%, fast and care free."
Kelly's goals are pretty simple for this coming season. "I would like to win the Conference title, make a deep playoff run, and dethrone 4 time state champion Independence."
Kelly is currently sporting a 3.4 GPA, and would like to major in Business.
