Lineman Chris Renick from Franklin County (Va.) is one of the strongest linemen in the country. A 6'2, 340-pound ox who lives in the weightroom, Renick's size and strength has impressed colleges, and has garnered him interest from several schools around the nation.

Wake Forest and William & Mary have called Chris Renick in the contact period. Coach Sherman (Wake Forest) and Coach Shockley (William & Mary) "said they've looked over my film and said I was really what they're looking for and they would keep in touch," Renick said.

Along with Wake and William & Mary, several other schools have piqued Renick's interest. "Tech – Virginia Tech – UVa, and Maryland's been talking to me a little bit, so Maryland too," Renick listed as his other favorites.

Meanwhile, lots of schools have been by Franklin High School checking out Renick and teammates Ronnie Edwards and Xavier Draper as well.

This summer, Renick plans to attend camps at Wake Forest on June 6th and Virginia Tech July 10th. He also has a few attributes of his game that he plans to work hard on. "I'm trying to get down to about 320 or 315," Renick said, "and to get quicker on my feet."

Renick also plans to keep working hard in the weightroom, a place where he has set three school records and several state records. Currently, Renick benches 415-pounds, squats 600, hang cleans 305, and deadlifts 650.
