Carrington Hearing From Wake

Thanks to a great performance at a recent combine, Bealeton (Va.) Liberty running back Justin Carrington is firmly entrenched on the recruiting radar.

"Justin did well at Nike by running a 4.47 40, he had a 4.08 pro shuttle time, and a 31.2 inch vertical," says head coach Tommy Buzzo. "He has really worked hard on his forty time this summer. On junior tape, he looks like he ran a 4.6, and he did at that time."

The combination of a faster player and more touches will help Carrington quite a bit this fall.

"He ran for 1100 yards and averaged 9.5 yards per carry, and he was not our feature back."

That feature back was A.J. Brown, who signed with Syracuse last year. Colleges are still finding their way back to Bealeton, and many believe Carrington will do well in the recruiting world.

"Everybody said he's going to get a bunch of offers," Buzzo admits. "One said they are going to, but so far no school has offered as of yet."

At the moment, Syracuse, Boston College, Wake Forest, Virginia, Connecticut, Marshall, South Carolina, Temple, Miami, and Virginia Tech are some of the schools showing the most interest.
