Offers On The Way For Eskridge

Despite a junior campaign that ended with Conference Defensive Player of the Year and All-Conference honors, Shelby (N.C.) safety Van Eskridge claims an empty offers sheet. However, the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder – as well as N.C. State's coaching staff – feels that will change very shortly.

"State has asked [during phone conversations] have I received any offers," remarked Eskridge. "Then they said in the future I will receive offers."

The Wolfpack coaching staff isn't the only number that has appeared on Eskridge's caller id the past few weeks. The two-way starter has fielded calls from many SEC and ACC schools during the evaluation period.

"I have also gotten calls from Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and Georgia," added Eskridge. "They basically are wondering how I'm doing in the class room and have told me to keep up the good work, work out this summer and keep their school in mine."

Although Eskridge would welcome offers from any school, the Wolfpack and Bulldogs are two schools he would love to receive a FedEx from in the very near future.

"I would have to say State and Georgia are probably my top two," stated Eskridge. "I would like to see them offer me."

Eskridge plans to camp at Wake Forest, N.C. State, Georgia and Virginia Tech this summer where he helps to help his cause with good performances.
