Deacs Writing Indiana Sophomore

Guard Marques Johnson, a 6'5, 195-pound prospect from Fort Wayne, Indiana, is beginning to pick up interest from a host of schools around the country. Although only a rising junior, Johnson has already been receiving letters from the county's elite teams.

"Basically all the Big Ten schools, a couple of the ACC -- North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest – Arizona, UCLA," Marques Johnson said when asked which schools are showing interest in him. "I'm hearing from the Big Ten schools, Notre Dame, and North Carolina I guess the most."

Johnson, who has no true favorites at this point, does feel that he would like to play in the ACC. "That's where I'd like to play," the 2006 point guard noted. "I like that style of play in the ACC."

While Johnson does not know a lot about Wake just yet, he is interested in the Deacons and watched a few games this past season. "I like their little freshman point guard this year and he did his thing," Johnson said. "I like how they play fast paced, and I've gotten a few letters from them."

Johnson currently has no timetable as to when he would like to make his decision.
