Deacs Top Three For Freeman

Illinois Fire guard Tony Freeman is one of the better guards left in the class of 2005. A quick and athletic guard prospect, Freeman currently lists Wake in his top three.

"They're top three," Tony Freeman said of Wake Forest. "I've got Marquette, Louisville, and [Wake] - not in any type of order, but top three."

What does Freeman like about the Deacons? "I talked to Skip Prosser a couple weeks ago, about a week and a half ago. Academically they're good, and then their program. They get up and down with it."

While Freeman has yet to receive an offer from Wake, he hopes to hear soon from the Deacons, and plans to make a final decision shortly after the summer season. "I'm going to try to make a decision after the summer," Freeman said. "After we come back from some camps like the Five Star Camp, sometime along then."

In the mean-time, Freeman will continue to work on his game in preparation for college. "[I need to work on my] decision making maybe a little bit, maybe off the ball defense a little bit. Everything else is decent, I've just got to get a little bit stronger, especially the weightroom to get a little stronger going into college."

Freeman may also make a visit to Wake, if an offer is extended to the Illinois guard. "I was planning to visit sometime at the end, one of the last visits [before I make a decision.]"
