GA TE Has First Offer

Greater Atlanta Christian School has at least two college-level prospects in lineman Will Funderburg and FB/LB Eric Schultz, but another member of the Spartans is starting to draw some attention as well.

Ben Wooster, a 6-5, 210 tight end who grew up in Arizona, says he already has his first offer, and more could be on the way.

"Louisville offered me, and Stanford's recruiting me pretty hard," Wooster said. "Vanderbilt and Wake Forest are looking at me too, as well as Arizona and Arizona State."

Wooster spent last weekend traveling to the Vanderbilt and Wake Forest camps.

His family made the move from Arizona to Georgia in August, 2003, and the big tight end was in pads for two-a-days with the GACS team the following day. He will play both tight end and strongside defensive end for the Spartans this fall. He possesses outstanding hands and good speed, and also plays basketball.
