Renick Attends Wake Camp

Rocky Mount, Virginia offensive lineman Chris Renick is keeping his summer low-key. Attending just one camp, weightlifting, and working, Renick is preparing for his senior season and waiting out the recruiting process.

Earlier this month, Chris Renick took a visit to Winston-Salem to attend Wake Forest's football camp. "I got back from Wake Forest's camp on June 6th," Chris Renick said. "I've been working to make some money and working out some since then."

"Wake Forest, I liked it and we toured the campus and everything," he said. "I did 25 reps of 185 and we then did the shuttle, 40s, vertical, had lunch, and then chose position and did agility drills." Renick noted that he thought he did well at the camp. "I thought I did real good," Renick noted. "I talked to the offensive line coach and Coach Sherman my recruiting guy."

Since camp, Renick has continued to work and workout to prepare for his senior campaign. Although Franklin County lost several top athletes including Patrick Preston as well as their starting quarterback, Renick believes Franklin County will be very good this upcoming season. "We've got most of our guys back," Renick said. "We should be pretty good."

Renick currently benches 415, squats 600, and hang cleans 315-pounds. He continues to receive interest from several schools around the area. Along with Wake, Renick likes Virginia Tech, Virginia, and Maryland, among others.
