Wooster Commits To Wake

Georgia's Ben Wooster, a 6'5, 215-pound prospect with a 4.7 40, committed to Wake Forest on Wednesday. On his visit to the Winston-Salem campus Wednesday afternoon, Wooster knew it was the place for him and made it official.

"Yes, I did [commit,]" Ben Wooster said. "I think out of all the schools it was the best fit for me in every way, shape, and form."

While Wooster loved the entire atmosphere at Wake, the campus at Wake blew him away. "The campus is one of the most beautiful I've seen," he said. "The two schools I wanted to go to were Stanford and Wake. I had actually been out to Stanford. Stanford is beautiful but I think Wake beats it out by far."

Wooster also loved the coaching staff at Wake, including head man Jim Grobe. "I actually met Coach Grobe yesterday," Wooster continued. "He was awesome. I really liked him, the coaching staff he has, my position coach, coach Elrod and what they're doing with the offense and how they're using the tight ends more in the offense."

Early in the recruiting process, Wake and Louisville are the two schools who offered Wooster. Vanderbilt, Stanford, Maryland, and North Carolina also showed heavy interest before he committed to the Deacons.

With his decision out of the way, Wooster is now able to concentrate on his senior season both on and off of the field, preparing for his time at Wake Forest. Wooster knows that the academics at Wake are strenuous, but feels he is prepared. "I'm ready for them," Wooster said of the academics at Wake. "I want to major in pre-med and I've got good grades here."
