Rinfrette Makes Early Commitment

Wake Forest is on a roll, and showed once again that it can stake a claim as the hottest team in the ACC on the recruiting trail. Today it picked up jumbo athlete Mike Rinfrette from in-state high school Bunn (N.C.).

"I just committed to Wake Forest," says the 6-foot-3, 260 pounder. "Just their coaching situation and their academics are great."

Rinfrette, who will play fullback for the Demon Deacons, says that the future position for which he was recruited had little to do with the decision.

"That wasn't a big deal, I just felt comfortable there. I knew it is where I wanted to be. As of right now, I am done. I really don't have any other reason to go visit anywhere."

Though done with recruiting, he still has work to do on the field this fall.

"I have been lifting with the team during the week and lifting a little on my own. We start practice with everybody else in the state on the 28th, so that is when we get going."
