As a forward prospect from the west coast, many east coast coaches and fans have not been able to catch California's Blake Wallace in action. This summer, the 6'7, 185-pound Wallace displayed his game on the east coast at the adidas camp in Suwanee, Georgia.
"I feel that I've done well," California forward Blake Wallace
said of his play at adidas. "I'm trying to do better with everything – my all-around game. I'm working on my shot and do the little things that will help."
Schools are beginning to take notice of the Yorba Linda, California product. Schools all down the west coast including California, UCLA, and Southern Cal have shown interest as well as east coast schools like Wake Forest. Wallace notes that California has already offered him a scholarship.
Wallace hoped to take a visit to Wake Forest earlier this summer, but was unable to make it to Winston-Salem over the past few months. "I haven't taken it yet," Wallace said of his planned visit to Wake Forest. "I was hoping to take it before the end of the last period. It's definitely a school I want to look at."
"I love Wake, I like Chris Paul, he's a great point guard," Wallace continued. "Jamaal Levy, he's skinny but rebounds so well. Tim Duncan, he went there. It's a good feel."
