Clinch Makes His Choice

Lewis Clinch, an outstanding 6-3 guard from the state of Georgia, made a verbal commitment to Georgia Tech today, according to his high school coach Fred Richard.

"It was just a gut feeling he had after taking a visit there," Richard said. "He felt very comfortable with the coaching staff there too."

Clinch also considered Georgia, Wake Forest, and Duke. "He really improved over the summer and became a better jump shooter," Richard said. "He is one of the best scoring guards in the country."

Clinch is likely to receive serious consideration for the McDonald's All American game which will be held next Spring at Notre Dame.
