NC WR Has Leader

Southport (N.C.) South Brunswick wide receiver Scott Long has decided to refocus his favorites, with one team taking the lead.

"I'm still hearing from a couple schools, and I pretty much have narrowed it down to a couple of favorites," says the 6-foot-3, 195 pounder. "Wake Forest is my leader right now, and NC State I like a lot, so Wake and NC State are my top two.

"Wake is pretty close to offering right now. I was just there this weekend for the Virginia Tech game, and there are some problems they've had with getting commitments from offensive and defensive line. So they've been waiting to offer skill guys, but I'm pretty sure they will to be offering here pretty soon with the way they are talking.

"NC State, they are waiting for me to get them some the first couple of games, and we will see where they go from there.

Long still has an offer from Louisville, and he certainly is keeping an eye on the Cardinals, especially if the two favorites do not offer.

"I still have a while, I don't want to close any doors, and I will be a late commit wherever I commit to. I'm just going to weigh all my options, and see how they go."

Long plans to take several visits, though he still has to hammer down exact dates to visit officially.

"I have set a couple up, but I have kind of a ball park date. I'm supposed to call and get all that straightened out, but I am supposed to take one in January to Louisville and I'm going to visit Wake officially and State officially but I'm not sure when that is going to be."
