Big Junior Year For NC RB

With the move of Crezdon Butler to quarterback, Johnny White took advantage of the extra carries. The Asheville (N.C.) running back ran for 2167 yards and had 39 touchdowns as a junior, and caught the attention of many colleges.

"I had a pretty good year," said the 5-foot-10, 190 pound blazer. "I got the Western North Carolina player of the year award, so I guess that it was pretty good."

While White is humble with the attention and honors, he is very happy to hear from from those schools.

"I am hearing from the SEC and ACC teams, mostly, but none of them have offered yet. My top five would probably be Wake Forest, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia, but I don't have a leader."

White, who will camp at North Carolina, Tennese, and Wake Forest, plans to wait until this time next year before making a decision. He wants to see the schools and look at the depth charts.

"I want to have the ability to go in there and play early."
