I really feel that this team has the necessary depth to push the ball at an extremely fast pace over 40 minutes and our goal is to wear teams down in the 2nd half." He added that "Kevin Swinton is obviously a very gifted player who also possesses some great leadership skills in the locker room that were exhibited this weekend."

The Gaters advance as the top seed in this weekend's North Carolina State Championship to be played at UNC-Greensboro. Kowalewski expects that his players will rise to the occasion as the competition gets stiffer in Greensboro. "I am asking each of our players to treat this weekend with the same level of intensity that they will put forth in their first college practice in October. If we do that, I like our chances to win a state championship." The Gaters play at 1:30 at Fleming Gymnasium on the campus of UNCG Saturday against Da Squad.
