Carter Continues To List Wake

While he might not be the prime target for Skip Prosser and company, Jawan Carter continues to list the Demon Deacons among the schools he likes.

While it seems Wake Forest main targets at the point guard position are Conley, Augustin, and Crittenton there is one player that continues to show interest in the Demon Deacons. Jawan Carter, a 5-11 point guard of Wilmington, DE., plays for The Playaz basketball club and was impressive this weekend at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions.

Among the schools Carter listed were Wake Forest, UConn, Villanova, St. Joseph, and Clemson. Of the five schools he said there is no leader and is wide open at this point.

Carter, who said that distance would not factor into his decision, said that he really likes the academics that Wake Forest can provide him. "I like the well balanced academics and basketball," Carter claimed. "It's definitely a top basketball schools so that's definitely something to look at."

The Tatnall School product has not been on any visits and said that he hopes to figure those out sometime in the near future, including perhaps a visit to Wake Forest.

"I haven't set up a visit. Maybe next fall, but it depends. After this week, I'll sit down and think about my timetable," Carter said. "I'd like to have my decision made before school or at least by next school season."
