Summers: Four Showing the Most Interest

DaJuan Summers showed off his game at the Tournament of Champions at the end of May and proved to be an impressive and intriguing prospect. This summer, he continues to work on his game.

"I'm working on every aspect of my game, but mostly my ballhandling, dribbling, and shooting – stuff like that, but every aspect," DaJuan Summers said. "I'd probably like to play the three, that's what I'd rather do."

At this point, several schools are showing interest in Summers. "A lot of Big East schools like Georgetown, UConn, plus Maryland, Illinois," Summers said when ask which schools are showing interest. Summers also mentioned that schools such as Wake Forest and West Virginia have shown some interest in him, though he hopes to hear more from both schools.

"I'm still open right now," Summers said. "I'm not narrowing it down as of yet."

Coach's Notes from Cecil Kirk AAU Ass't Calvin Dotson, Jr.: "DaJuan has worked on all facets of his game. This summer he's worked on his inside game, outside game, he's worked on his ballhandling. DaJuan is a ball player. He can play the 3, 4, and if needed he can go play other spots. He's an excellent ball player, he can run the floor. He's learning the science of the game and what to do in certain situations.

Most big men can't guard him because he can do so many things. He can go to the rack, he can hit a jumpshot, he can pass, he can do it all. DaJuan's game has vastly improved and he's only going to get better. He's a nice kid, a good academic, and a very nice and likeable young man."
