Stepheson and Stanley Are Both Weighing Options

Richmond, VA--Stepheson and Stanley were present at the NBA camp, and both updated their lists and discussed possible schools.

Alex Stepheson

Alex Stepheson, who averaged 18 points and 14 rebounds this past season, is taking his time with the recruiting process and has a list of six schools that he is strongly considering. The 6-foot-9 big man listed North Carolina, UConn, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Washington, and Wake Forest.

"It's going well," Stepheson responded when asked about the recruiting process. "We're not really going to make a decision until November or October some time."

Stepheson said that he plans on taking his official visits in the fall. However, he recently took a visit to Winston-Salem to check on Wake Forest's campus, and the big guy was impressed with a few things that Skip Prosser and co. could offer.

"I liked the visit. It was kind of small, excluded and compact," Stepheson explained. "They have great academics and a great coach."

Each school he likes is a little different than the other, so is there anything in particular Stepheson is looking for?

"Good academics, a good basketball program, a good coach and just a good situation where I fit in and feel comfortable."

Stanley Robinson

After enjoying a run to his states final four Robinson said he's looking forward to winning the championship next year. However, he has some business to take care of before he has a chance to win the title.

Robinson, who stands 6-foot-9 205 pounds, will eventually have to make a college decision and at this point he doesn't have any favorites and seems very open.

"I pretty much have everybody on my list," Robinson said.

The forward looked good on day one of the NBPA camp; he threw down some nasty dunks and is a pretty good rebounder as well. He said that Duke, UNC, Maryland, LSU, Alabama, UT, Cincinnati, and Wake Forest are all recruiting him.

Robinson averaged 21 points and 8 boards this past season.
