James Adams, a defensive back from Northern Durham (NC) high school has verbally committed to Wake Forest.
Adams is a very close friend of Northern Durham star and WFU commit Josh Gattis. In fact, Adams talked about going to college together with Gattis on several occasions. Adams notes, however, that he make his own decision as Wake Forest is the place he wanted to be.
James was being recruited by many of the top programs in the area as he is one of North Carolina's finest recruits. In fact, the Fayetteville Observer rates him #17 in North Carolina.
Clemson, East Carolina, Duke, UNC, and N.C. State were among the other schools recruiting James. Adams, who attended the Appalachian State game on September 8, was offered a scholarship by the Wake Forest coaches September 4th. He verbally committed right after the Appalachian State affair.
James, also a track star, was recruited to play outside linebacker at Wake Forest.
