Ted Randolph is one of a host of freshman players that have the chance to play aa true freshmen this season. The tight end from Davie County High School in North Carolina has the body to play as a true freshman, it is just a matter of learning the system at Wake Forest.
"It hasn't been too bad," Ted Randolph
said of the adjustment to the college level. "Learning the plays and all the terminology is hitting me right now. So far, we're having good team communication and all that good stuff. We're coming together and having a good time. I think everyone is on the same page and has the same goals."
Randolph, who continues to pick up a lot of reps in practice, has the chance to play as a true freshman, though Coach Grobe would prefer to redshirt true freshmen. "I don't know what I'm going to do yet," Randolph noted. "Really, my goal is to do whatever I can to help the team win and succeed.
"Even though we're hot and tired out here, everybody is keeping in good spirit," he continued. "It's up tempo. We're excited about our first game coming up and we're ready for it."
