Deacons Offer Patterson

After putting together a solid summer, Patrick Patterson is recieving interest from a number of schools and even claims five offers. The power forward spoke with Evan Daniels of DeaconSports.com and updated his recruitment.

It's still early in Patrick Patterson's recruiting process, but so far it's going pretty smoothly. The 6-foot-8 soft spoken power forward already has a number of schools chasing him.

Wake Forest, Tennessee, North Carolina State, Georgia, Michigan State, Florida, West Virginia, Marshall, and Virginia Tech are all recruiting the Huntington, WV., native. Patterson has even racked up offers from the Wake Forest, Georgia, WVU, Marshall, and Virginia Tech.

"I really like Wake Forest, WVU, Virginia Tech, and NC State," Patterson said when asked what schools he liked the most. "Those are the places that I have visited."

The class of 2007 forward went into further detail about Wake Forest and cited their coaching staff as one reason he likes them so much.

"I like Wake Forest. I like the coaching staff and the environment they have down there," Patterson said. "They told me that if I want to succeed and become a better person then Wake Forest is the place for me. They think I'm a great athlete and a great person."

Patterson, who has aspirations of winning back to back state championships, said that distance would probably be the biggest factor when he sits down to make his final decision.

"Probably distance away from where my parents will be and the rest of the family," he said.

Though he already has offers on the table, Patterson still has a while to go, as he doesn't plan on making his final decision until his senior year.
