Soccer Team Loses Two Players

Wake Forest's soccer team lost two key players this spring as Aaron Thomas and Kevin Wickart were dismissed from the squad.

Wake's soccer team lost two key players when defenders Kevin Wickart and Aaron Thomas were dismissed from the team for violating team rules.

Wickart, a sophomore and a native of Illinois, has since decided to move on from Wake Forest. He has transferred to the University of South Carolina.

Meanwhile, junior Aaron Thomas, an All-American type midfielder/defender, has also decided to leave the program. Thomas, a captain, was one of the top players in the Deacon program the past few seasons. He has decided to turn pro and is currently playing with the Greensboro Dynamo in Greensboro, North Carolina.
