Stevenson Meets With Coach Prosser

Wake Forest Head Coach Skip Prosser is on the recruiting trail and he made a stop in Louisiana to meet with Perry Stevenson. Evan Daniels, of, caught up with the 60th best player in the class of 2006.

Perry Stevenson, of Northside HS, is getting close to narrowing down his list of schools. The 6-foot-9 power forward said that Texas Tech, Texas, LSU, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and Miami are all recruiting him and that he would like to narrow his list down after his in-home visits.

The in-home visits are often a good time for coaches to sit down and explain their programs to players and parents, and for Stevenson this process has already begun. Texas Tech, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest have already been in to see the Louisiana native and Miami will be in on Wednesday.

When asked if any of the visits really stood out Stevenson said, "Not really."

However Stevenson did talk about his visit with Wake Forest Head Coach Skip Prosser. According to Stevenson, Prosser is quite a funny guy.

"I think it's a good school," he said about Wake Forest. "Yeah, I think he was cool. I think he [Coach Prosser] was pretty funny."

"Like he said they have a small school atmosphere and that's kind of what my school is now. My school is just over 1,200 people and Wake is basically like 4,000 and that's pretty small for college. Going from my high school to there wouldn't be much of a difference and it would be an easy adjustment."

The 60th ranked player in the class of 2006 said that he plans on taking all five of his official visits and will begin scheduling them after the in-home visits.
