2003 Recruiting: Chris Paul Update

Wake Forest recruiting target Chris Paul got an offer from another in-state rival on Wednesday night. After a great Boo Williams showing, his recruitment has continued to pick up. Hear more on his latest offers here.

This past week has not been just another week in the life of Chris Paul. It has been much more than that. Two more schools offered Paul a scholarship this past week, bringing his total to seven.

Early this week, Chris was offered former Wake coach Dave Odom of South Carolina. However, Wednesday night, in-state school North Carolina visited with Paul and his father at West Forsyth High School.

Our friends at Inside Carolina note that both Matt Doherty and assistant Doug Wojcik were present Wednesday as Paul worked out and then a formal scholarship offer was extended.

Paul has noted in the past that he has always been a lifelong UNC fan. He did not commit to the Heels when the offer was extended, however, and is expected to wait until the summer to do so.

With UNC's leap into the Paul sweepstakes, Chris now has seven known scholarship offers. N.C. State, Wake Forest, Boston College, South Carolina, Clemson, Charlotte, and North Carolina have all offered.
