While Wake didn't pull out the win, they did make a good impression on Vaughn. The 6-foot-9 power forward said the atmosphere at the game was great.
"I thought it was amazing. The fans and the Harley motorcycle," Vaughn said of his unofficial visit to Wake's game against Duke. "The fans got really, really loud. I like big crowds like that. They didn't go back to school for two more days and the students came back early for the game, so I thought that was pretty good."
"I think it was really good at the beginning. I think that dunk ruined it. It didn't ruin anything, but Wake lost so much momentum after that."
Vaughn also got a chance to hang out on campus before the game and he also attended the shoot around earlier in the day.
"I had already met everybody before on a different visit. We talked about what they were trying to do that night," Vaughn said. "It was really fun talking to them and seeing how they play and stuff. I liked the game even though the game kind of got away from them at the end."
Vaughn has a number of scholarship offers and has taken visits to half of the ACC, however he doesn't really have a list right now.
"I don't really have a list right now. I like Wake and they're one of my main favorites. But I'm working on my season and then after the season I'm going to try and cut it down. I like a lot of schools that I've visited and that have come to see me. I don't really have a list yet, because I'm not really sure yet."
