Wake Checks In On Malcolm Delaney

Wake Forest recently took a visit to one of Malcolm Delaney's games and now the 6-3 guard wants to take a visit to Winston-Salem to check out Wake's campus. Delaney updated DeaconSports.com on his recruitment.

Malcolm Delaney's recruitment is beginning to heat up. After taking a visit to Maryland for their game against Wake Forest, Delaney received a scholarship offer from the Terrapins.

The next day Delaney had a game and Wake Forest showed up. The 6-foot-3 said that the Demon Deacons have been recruiting him pretty hard lately and they are making a pretty good impression on him.

"I should be taking a visit down there as soon as possible," Delaney said. "They were at my game Sunday. And they are showing a lot of love towards me and they like me a lot.

Most guards that are really interested in Wake Forest have a love for Chris Paul's game and Delaney is no different.

"I like Chris Paul a lot and I like Wake Forest a lot," Delaney stated. "When my recruitment started they weren't on me. When they started recruiting me I felt a lot of comfort with them."

"I like the school, but I'm not really sure about them yet because I have taken a visit yet," he continued. "I want to take a visit so I can get more comfortable with the school as far as the atmosphere and stuff like that."

Delaney listed Maryland, Georgia, Clemson, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest as schools that he likes right now. The combo guard from Towson Catholic (MD) has offers from Maryland, Georgia and Clemson.

Delaney, who is averaging 19 points, 4 assists and 5 rebounds, doesn't have any kind of timetable on his decision. He is just trying to see the schools who are showing interest and narrow it down.

"I'm not sure. I didn't really put one on it," Delaney said of his decision. "So I'm just going to take my time."
