Duncan Nominated For ESPY Award

Wake Forest alum Tim Duncan was nominated for another award this past week when he was named a finalist for the 2002 NBA Best Player ESPY Award.

Wake Forest alum Tim Duncan, the 2002 NBA MVP award winner, has been nomiated for the 2002 ESPY Award for best NBA player. The ESPY Awards are handed out in numerous categories each year by the ESPY Awards Academy and ESPN.

Duncan, 27, joins Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd, Shaquille O'Neal, Paul Pierce, and Chris Webber on that list of elite NBA players.

Duncan has already won two ESPY Awards in his lifetime. In 1997, Duncan won the ESPY for the best College Basketball Player. Three years later, Duncan was voted the 2002 best NBA Player.
