Deacs After Harling

South Carolina linebacker Terrance Harling lists one favorite in the recruiting process - Virginia Tech. Oddly enough, the Hokies aren't recruiting him, but the Deacs and other ACC schools are...

Columbia, South Carolina native Terrance Harling is one of the Palmetto State's top linebackers. Although his C.A. Johnson High School team struggled this past season, Harling's being recruited hard by many of the top schools in the nation.

At this point, "USC, Clemson, UNC, Virginia, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, and Maryland" are recruiting the Columbia native. Although those are the only major D-I schools after him, Harling continues to name one favorite that is not on that list: "Virginia Tech." Although Tech wrote earlier in the year, the Hokies have not made contact with Harling of late.

So far, Harling has picked up one offer from major D-I schools. "Virginia has offered me a scholarship," Harling noted. "They're the only school to offer so far."

Harling has visited Clemson and North Carolina in his lifetime, but hopes to begin making more visits in the near future. "I'm going to try to visit Clemson and South Carolina a lot this summer, but I want to visit some other schools too."

After a season where Harling picked up 80-90 tackles, he says he is ready to hit the field and improve his game and his team. "I want to get my speed up and hopefully I'll grow at least 2-3 more inches. I also want to improve our team record and our team concept this coming season too."

Harling also noted that he has a 4.8 40 time, benches 250 pounds, and squats 380 pounds.
