Stanley's Visit "Was Cool"

DeaconSports got in touch with BJ Nowak, Cameron Stanley's guide in the U.S. Hear what Nowak had to say about Wake Forest and Stanley's recruitment.

Rising junior wingman Cameron Stanley visited Wake Forest earlier this month, checking out the University for the first time. BJ Nowak, Stanley's guide, tells DeaconSports that Stanley told him that his visit "was cool" and that he enjoyed the visit.

Nowak, a Raleigh native, said that Stanley should be a "3" at the college level and that Stanley has improved his shot a great deal this summer. Nowak also told us that a good number of schools are already showing preliminary interest in Stanley.

"A number of schools have shown interest and told me they will continue to follow his progress," Nowak said. While Nowak does not consider any of these teams overly "serious" yet, they may be very serious in the near future as Stanley's game continues to improve. "He has a tremendous thirst to get better," Nowak noted.

Schools that have shown interest in Stanley to date are Wake, Cincinnati, N.C. State, College of Charleston, Penn State, Villanova, and a host of others.

Off the court, Stanley is a very good student in the classroom. Nowak, Taron Downey's former AAU coach with the Raleigh Razorbacks, told DeaconSports that academics will play a major role in Stanley's decision.

Stay tuned to in the coming months and years for the latest on Cameron Stanley.
