Davidson Still Open

Jermario Davidson's AAU basketball coach, Desmond Eastmond, tells DeaconSports that Davidson will decide on his college future near the end of July. Eastmond talked about Wake Forest and Davidson's recruitment with DeaconSports.

DeaconSports.com spoke with Worldwide Renegades coach Desmond Eastmond this past weekend to get the latest on the recruitment of one of his top players, center Jermario Davidson. Davidson, a Georgia prospect, has seen his recruitment rise dramatically in the past few months.

"Alabama, Florida State, Wake Forest, Clemson, Missouri, Georgia, Indiana, and Mississippi State are the schools [that are recruiting Davidson.] When asked who has offered scholarships, Coach Eastmond quickly replied – "Everybody."

"He doesn't have any favorites but the decision should be made at the end of July," Eastmond continued. "He's made unofficial visits to Florida State, Indiana, Mississippi State, and he went to Georgia this weekend."

When asked about Wake Forest, Eastmond responded with positive news for Deacon fans. "Wake Forest has just as much chance right now as anyone," Eastmond told DeaconSports. "They were one of the first schools to contact him. Coach Jeff Battle and Skip are recruiting him hard. Skip came out to see him two months ago at the school – Wake was one of the first schools to do that."

While Eastmond had good things to say about Wake, he also noted that Davidson did not have a list of schools he wanted to visit officially and does not have anymore visits planned at this point. Instead, this summer, Davidson will attend the Nike Camp, the Five Star Camp in Pittsburgh July 15-20, and will be playing with the Worldwide Renegades in the Nike Showcase in Orlando.
