Amongst the players on his team was Wake Forest verbal commitment Chris Paul. "Chris Paul – he's a great point guard," Sheridan told DeaconSports. "I had met him before down in North Carolina and ever since then we've been cool. I think I'm going to call him in the next week or so."
As for Sheridan's performance alongside Paul for the East team in Colorado Springs, "it was pretty solid overall except for the championship game," Sheridan noted. "My rebounding was good and I averaged about 8.5 points per game against some great players," he said.
"It was hard to get used to the air there, but we all did pretty well even though we got winded easily. It was a great camp, though. I met a lot of people and made some new friends."
While camp was great, Sheridan tells DeaconSports that his recruitment is also going well. "The same thing is going on [as last time we talked] really – phone calls have been coming in [from coaches] a lot lately though. I've been working [for a law firm,] working out, playing in two summer leagues, and getting better."
"Wake, Virginia, Tennessee, UNC-C, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Villanova, Michigan, Notre Dame, Maryland, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and a couple other schools have offered," Sheridan continued. "[I have] no favorites right now, but after July I'll have everything set up and will know where I will want to take my official visits."
Last week, a rumor started up that Rutgers was getting together a Fab Five group of recruits and hoping that the five would commit together. Sheridan confirmed that something like this had been talked about. "It's a possibility," Sheridan said. "I'm not really sure what's going on. I've got to make some phone calls. We talk about it, and everything they talk about is true, but for it to be set in stone, who knows. But yeah, it's a possibility."
It is also a possibility that Will may end up going to school with one of his co-workers and one of his best friends, Artie Bowers. A shooting guard, Bowers is one of Wake Forest's top recruiting prospects at the guard position and Sheridan tells DeaconSports that it is a possibility that both attend the same school.
"Artie Bowers is looking at Wake [too] and he actually works with me. We're both talking about going there but it's nothing major right now."
While Sheridan will use this month to figure out his visit plans for the rest of the summer, he will also play basketball all around the country. Sheridan is going to ABCD camp from the 7th through the 12th and will then play in an AAU tournament with the Tim Thomas Playaz from the 19th-21st. His AAU squad will go to Las Vegas on the 22nd and will then head to Hawaii in the weeks after that.
Stay tuned to DeaconSports for the latest with Will!
