"I don't know [Wake Forest] has been kind of slacking off," Stewart said when asked about their involvement.
But it sounds like the Demon Deacons are making an attempt to get back in the picture as Stewart said there were a few voicemails that he had yet to return from the Wake Forest staff.
"I was looking at Wake pretty hard. I've been talking to Coach Battle a lot. I'm going to give coach a call back because I like Wake. They are in the ACC."
The other schools involved right now are Kentucky, Tennessee State, Clemson and Oklahoma State. The Wildcats are the most recent to get in the picture and Stewart welcomes all newcomers to his recruitment.
"Yeah that's cool," he said about the Cats getting involved late. "A lot of the schools that wanted me earlier have already signed people, like Florida and Miami who just signed a 6-10 kid and that was their last scholarship. So all the schools that wanted me at first they are done."
While he welcomes others, he did admits that the ACC is the conference that he would like to play in.
"I want to play for a big school and someone big. I just want to play somewhere that I can get better and play my style. The ACC is good and is the best competition.
Stewart said that he would like to get his list figured out soon, so he can start planning visits and make a decision before his high school season begins.
"But I don't know I'm supposed to sit down with my coach next week and I guess he's going to call some of the coaches and see where I am on their list and then I want to take some visits. I'll pick out five schools and then make some visits."
