Hudson Getting Strong Interest

With AAU season over, Dorenzo Hudson is getting ready for the upcoming school year and high school saeson at Hargrave. His recruitment seems to have taken off, DeaconSports has the scoop.

Coming off an injury, Dorenzo Hudson didn't play well in the Nike Memorial Day Classic in late May. But he played through and continued to improve throughout the summer. By the time AAU Nationals rolled around Hudson proved himself as a top 50 player.

Hudson's jump shots began to fall, the mid-range game was working and he was slashing to the basket. His play at AAU Nationals, in Orlando, was impressive and it caught the eye of a number of college coaches.

"It's going pretty good," Hudson said of his recruitment. "I couldn't really ask for too much more."

"I feel like [the summer] was pretty good. I don't think it was an awesome summer, but I think it helped me out a lot with the college coaches."

The main schools showing interest in Hudson are Miami (FL), Boston College, Clemson, NC State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. And he's trying to set up visits to Clemson and Miami.

Wake Forest was a frequent visitor at Hudson's games in Orlando, at AAU Nationals, and they must have liked what they saw.

"They are coming at me pretty hard," he said about the Demon Deacons. "I get a lot of phone calls from them, but they have been coming at me pretty hard."
