Florida RB Commits On Official

Not only did the Demon Deacons get a win this weekend, they also received a verbal from Florida RB Brandon Pendergrass. Pendergrass, who plays for Royal Palm Beach HS, verballed to Wake Forest during his official visit this weekend.

When asked about the visit, Brandon Pendergrass said had "a real good time" and added, "I got to see the game, see the team before the game, and just see how they played and how they interacted with each other. It impressed me a lot."

When asked if he planned to take any other visits, Pendergrass replied, "No, I'm done."

Pendergrass as offered by the likes of Duke, Vanderbilt, Ohio, Northwestern, and Minnesota before committing to Wake Forest.

Prior to his visit, Pendergrass led Royal Palm Beach to their first win of the year with 91 yards and a TD on 14 carries, and another TD receiving. Pendergrass is the 5th commit for Wake Forest in the class of 2007.

He joins John Stamper, Kyle Jarrett, Jordan Williams, and Doug Weaver in Wake's recruiting class.
