Hines Taking His Time

The dream continues onward for offensive lineman Stuart Hines. An impressive physical specimen out of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Hines and his teammates continue their quest for a state title this Friday. Sunday night, Hines spoke with DeaconSports on his senior season and recruitment.

"It is going really good," Stuart Hines said of his senior campaign, a year that has produced a 12-1 record and a shot at a state title. "We play Friday night in the state semi-finals. [We play] Louisville Central."

"I think overall I played pretty good this year," Hines said of his senior year. "It seems like toward the end of the year I'm picking it up some more. Hopefully I haven't played my best game yet."

Hines is working to focus on his senior season and maintains that he is staying away from focusing much of his attention on the recruiting process. Still, he does have a list of schools he is most interested in at this point.

"I've got a few schools I'm really interested in," he noted. "Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Kentucky, Purdue, and Illinois." West Virginia, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Purdue, Illinois, Marshall, Baylor, and Troy are amongst the schools that have offered.

Although he is not focused on recruiting, Hines has made time to unofficially visit Wake Forest. "I went down there for the Clemson game and went to the game and walked around the campus," he said of Wake Forest "I got to see the campus and all the buildings and football facilities. It was a really good experience. I like that and they're having a great year this season."

Hines has yet to schedule any official visits but will do so after his senior season. Hines, who has qualified through the clearinghouse, is being recruited to Wake Forest by Dean Hood.
