FL QB Adding Offers

Wake Forest's coaching staff has made Nease (FL) High School quarterback Ted Stachitas their #1 priority at the quarterback position in the class of 2008. A player who fits the Demon Deacon's system, Stachitas has had the coaching staff's attention over the past year, earning him an early offer from Wake Forest.

"Well, as of now, I have offers from Wake Forest, Stanford, Northwestern, and I just got Navy, I think," Ted Stachitas said Sunday evening. "Georgia Tech is looking at me too. I really like Wake Forest and Georgia Tech now. I really like their programs."

The 6'0, 176-pound quarterback elaborated on his interest in the two programs. "Wake Forest, I like that it's one of the smaller schools, the kind I want to go to. Also, you get a great education and their program fits what I'm good at. The coaches want to build their program off of what I'm good at and they've told me that. Same thing at Georgia Tech."

Stachitas has already become familiar with the Demon Deacon program, making several visits. "I've been to Wake twice, one for a game last year and one with a friend a couple months ago." He is also a high school teammate of 2008 Demon Deacon commitment Riley Haynes.

With several offers on the table, many analysts believed that Stachitas may decide this spring. He says that he doesn't have a set time in which he would like to announce his decision, however. "I don't have a timeframe. Once I feel like I know where I want to go, I'll decide. I don't have a deadline."
