"I'm working on it to make it my position," Gabriel said. "I want to be able to play either one because I can post up pretty good. I know I need to work on my ball handling and my shooting."
Gabriel, who is hearing from Temple, Xavier, Wake Forest, Clemson, Miami-FL, UNC Charlotte, Georgia, VCU, is being recruited to play both the three and the four. The Demon Deacons, however, see him as a three in their offense.
"[Their recruitment] has been good. Skip Prosser told me he sees me as a straight three as soon as I improve my ball handling skills."
With offers from UNC Charlotte, Miami-FL, East Carolina, High Point and UNC Wilmington, Gabriel already has a few options, but he plans on waiting out the process until at least the end of the summer.
"I'm just trying to keep my options open right now. I'm not going to make my decision right now. I'm going to wait until just before basketball season starts this year."
Gabriel will play in Nashville this weekend at the Nike MDC. Following that event he'll participate in the NBPA Camp and possibly Clemson's Elite camp.
