Parker Visiting Next Weekend

Bartram Trail (FL) High School tight end Andrew Parker is an emerging prospect from the Jacksonville, Florida area. In recent weeks, Parker has earned three new offers and is looking to pick up one more when he visits Wake Forest next weekend.

"I've got an offer from Ole Miss, USF, and UCF right now," Andrew Parker told DeaconSports on Sunday. "I'm hearing from Wake and South Carolina, Clemson a little bit, and Georgia Tech."

A 6'5, 230-pound rising senior, Parker is elated to have several scholarship offers, giving him the chance to play football at the D-I level while obtaining a free college education. "I'm excited," he noted. "When I was little I didn't think I had the chance to do this. I just feel really great being able to do this."

With three offers on the table, Parker hopes to add one more next weekend when he take a visit to Winston-Salem to visit the Demon Deacons. "Wake Forest is probably highest on my list," Parker said. "[My recruiting coach,] Coach Elrod from what I know is a great guy. They say the campus is a great place to be at. Right now, I really like that place."

Parker, who is friends with Wake Forest commit Scott Betros, is hoping for an offer next weekend from the Demon deacons. "They said that they would probably offer me. I don't know if they'll offer, but they said they will probably do so when I go up there."

Last season, Parker caught 20 passes for Bartram Trail.
