Parker Close To WFU Offer?

Bartram Trail (FL) tight end Andrew Parker proved to be one of the top prospects at Wake Forest's senior camp this past weekend. Parker, a 6'5, 230-pound prospect impressed the Wake coaches, likely earning him an offer from Wake Forest.

"It was today," Andrew Parker said of Wake Forest's camp, "and it went really good today. I loved the coaches and campus and family atmosphere and the whole scene at Wake Forest."

Prior to the camp, Parker got a chance to take a good look at the Demon Deacons' campus. "Yesterday we drove around the campus, saw everything and the stadium and practice field and stuff," he noted. "Today we had a break and took a tour of the campus and buildings."

Coming into this weekend, Parker's recruitment was beginning to erupt as he earned offers from Ole Miss, South Florida, and Central Florida in recent weeks. His Sunday performance may have earned him another offer.

"I actually did really good today," he noted. "Coach had us doing some drills and catching some balls. "Coach Elrod the tight ends coach said I did really good," he noted. "He said that he couldn't offer in person [due to NCAA regulations] but he said he would have good news tomorrow morning so I think I'll get an offer."

If the Demon Deacons offer, they will be in the drivers seat for Parker's services. "Wake Forest is definitely my #1," he said. "I love this place. It's just really nice. I think if they offer me, I would want to commit sooner rather than later."
