To date, Taylor has visited several schools with plans to visit Virginia Tech for their camp next month. "I've made it to Duke, Wake Forest, [South Carolina and Furman – and Clemson."
Taylor recently returned from Wake Forest's senior camp this past weekend. "I performed very well and learned a lot of things at the camp," he noted. "I did well and they've offered a scholarship."
Taylor, who is being recruited by Coach Keith Henry, continued to talk about Wake Forest. "They're a good team athletically," said Taylor. "Its not that many students but still very competitive. They won the ACC last year. They have good academics. Their campus is nice. I like the school and the campus.
Taylor, who would like to major in engineering, is primarily focused on academics when making his final decision. "It's all about academics," said Taylor, who holds a 3.5 GPA. "If they have some of the stuff I need for class that I need to take for my degree. The graduation rate for athletes and if they receive their degrees. Also, I want to know how the athletes are treated during their freshmen with things like study hall."
As a junior, Taylor amassed 80 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, and 3 forced fumbles for Beaufort High School.
