"At Rutgers, I love the facilities and the coaches. The coaches at West Virginia are real cool too. I haven't been to their campus, but I'd love to see it. I want to learn more about them.
"My dad played at Louisville back in the late 70's, and I've got some family up there, so that's nice. He's told me to make my own decision though. South Florida is a school that's real close to home so my parents could watch me play. They have a good staff too."
At 6-4 and 312 pounds, all of those schools are recruiting Looney to play offensive guard. He said he is about to enter his 14th season of organized football, so he is not lacking in experience.
"I'm real tough and I pull really good," he said. "I've got the strength to overpower people, so I get a lot of pancakes. I'm really looking forward to this season. We were 4-6 last year but we lost three games by one point and we have 20 seniors coming back. We should be good."
Looney has already visited Rutgers and is planning on going to South Florida this weekend. He will visit Wake Forest in July. He said his top five will not change and that those are the schools he plans on taking official visits to. He hopes to announce his decision in August.
