Skinner, Robinson Doubtful for Nebraska

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest quarterback Riley Skinner and defensive end Matt Robinson are each listed as doubtful for Saturday's home opener between the Deacons and Nebraska.

Riley Skinner (Jacksonville, FL/Bolles School) suffered a mild separated shoulder in the third quarter of Saturday's contest at Boston College. Skinner had completed 28 of 37 passes for 236 yards and one touchdown vs. BC before suffering the injury. He set career-highs for both attempts and completions in a game.

Matt Robinson (Cedartown, GA) was injured on the first play from scrimmage. Cornerback Alphonso Smith intercepted a pass from BC quarterback Matt Ryan and returned it 21 yards for a touchdown. While blocking down field on the return, Robinson suffered a high ankle sprain and missed the remainder of the game. He is also listed as doubtful for Saturday's contest with Nebraska. Robinson was making his first appearance since 2005 after missing all of the 2006 season with a broken knee cap.

Kickoff is slated for noon on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Groves Stadium with the game carried live on ESPN.
