Washington Has Top Four

Shelby (N.C.) defensive back Carlos Washington is having a good season on the field in 2002. His team is too, as Crest is off to a 4-0 start. Washington talks football and recruiting with DeaconSports, as he names his four favorites - one of which is Wake Forest.

Defensive back Carlos Washington from Shelby Crest in Shelby, North Carolina plays for one of the top teams in the state. So far, his team has been nothing short of spectacular in accumulating a 4-0 record early in the season.

The season is going fine," Washington told DeaconSports. "Right now, I'm playing good but I don't have huge stats right now because the teams are running the other way. Some teams are scared of me. Right now I have two interceptions and 15 or 16 tackles."

As for his team, Washington noted that Crest is playing great – as is evident by their 4-0 record. Crest will play on Friday against North Forsyth.

On the recruiting scene, Washington is primarily looking at four schools. "Right now I'm looking at North Carolina, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, and East Carolina," Washington noted. "I don't have any offers yet and haven't set up any visit. Right now, I'm just concentrating on the season."
