Saturday Recruiting Updates

Wake Forest verbal commitments Ben Mauk and Monte Anthony had great games Friday night in leading their teams to victory. DeaconSports has updates on those two as well as Reggie Hall, Michael Bush, Eric McCollum, and Cory Holt.

Camden, SC quarterback Eric McCollom had a great night Friday in leading his Camden High squad to a 42-14 win over Lakewood. McCollom was 12-19 passing for 240 yards and two touchdowns on the night. With the win, Camden improves to 5-1 on the season.

Cory Holt threw five touchdowns Friday night in leading Lexington to a 49-27 win over host West Iredell. Holt ended the night 10-16 for 257 yards in the air. He also ran for one more touchdown in the game. Lexington improved to 3-3 overall with the win.

Monte Anthony, a WFU commit, ran for 100-yards and one late touchdown score from two-yards out to help lead Carver to a 35-13 win over rival Parkland. Anthony's Carver squad improves to 6-0-1 on the season with the win over Parkland.

Wake Forest verbal commit Ben Mauk completed 21-31 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns in leading Kenton to a 49-0 win over Van Wert. Mauk also ran for two scores on 13 carries for 175 yards. Kenton is now 5-2 on the year.

Perhaps the nation's top athlete, Michael Bush of Louisville Male had another incredible night Friday. In just one half of play, Bust threw for 253 yards as he led Male to a 48-0 win. Bush threw four touchdown passes on the night. Male is now 7-0 on the season.

Vance running back Reggie Hall ran for two scores Friday night. On the night, he carried the ball 21 times for 202 yards. With Hall's help, Vance beat North Mecklenburg 40-0 to move to 4-2 on the season.
