NC Athlete Has First Offer; Top Five

Canton, North Carolina wide receiver D.J. Fretwell is one of the Tar Heel State's top receivers Fretwell, who visited Wake for the UVa game, talks recruiting with TheInsiders.

D.J. Fretwell is an excellent athlete at 6-1 and 190 pounds with a 4.49 forty time to his credit. He plays running back, wide receiver, and cornerback for Pisgah High School in Canton, North Carolina. He has good height and speed to play any of those positions on the next level as well. He is an excellent student that has already earned on scholarship offer.

"Duke has given me a scholarship offer," said Fretwell. "I went to camps this summer at North Carolina and Wake Forest. I've been to one game so far this year; I went to the Wake Forest/Virginia game. That was a good game. My top teams right now are probably Wake Forest, Duke, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Tennessee."

Fretwell has gotten off to a fast start this year as he has scored 12 touchdowns in his teams first 6 games. "We're 5-1 right now. I think it's 12 touchdowns. I'm pretty sure I have 10 rushing and 2 receiving. I play full time at corner as well."

Fretwell has already broken 1000 on his SAT and also plays small forward and guard on his basketball team. He is an excellent student athlete that should see more offers come his way as the season progresses.
