Elite Junior a Hot Prospect

With several months to go until National Signing Day, most eyes are focused on the top remaining prospects in the senior class. Athlete Joshua Adams is only a junior, but he has an offer list that could match most prospects a year older than himself.

At 6-4, 200 pounds, Joshua Adams has spent time on offense and defense throughout his high school career. He spoke with DeaconSports recently about his season as well as the recruiting process.

"My season went real good," he said. "I had 61 catches, 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns receiving. I also had 300 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. I didn't play that much defense this year but I had a lot of production on special teams as a return man."

Adams currently holds offers from Iowa, Rutgers, UConn, Boston College, Nebraska, North Carolina and Stanford, and that list will undoubtedly grow as time goes on.

"I'm going to take a look at what each school's recruiting class looks like before I make my decision," he said. "Of course, academics will be important. I'll also look at the graduation rate for African Americans at the school."

Earlier this season, Adams was able to see Wake Forest in-person as he caught the Deacs' game at Boston College. "I have a very positive impression," Adams said of the Demon Deacon program. "One of my teachers went to Wake Forest and said it was a pretty good school. I went to the BC-Wake Forest game earlier this year and saw them play. I've been getting a lot of mail from them."

While Adams has no plans to take visits in the near future, he isn't ruling anything out. "I'll look at any school that sends me mail," he said.
