Checking In With Todd Hendley

DeaconSports spoke with Wake Forest verbal commitment Todd Hendley Wednesday night to find out the latest with the 6-8 combo forward. The Sanford, N.C. native talked about his official visit as well as his upcoming senior season.

Todd Hendley has always been known as a hard worker. The Sanford, North Carolina native's work ethic has never truly been questioned – and for good reason. His work habits keep Hendley busy each day working out and playing basketball, working to make him one of the top seniors in the nation.

As his senior season creeps closer, Todd Hendley continues to improve and to work hard. "I'm still working out with the personal trainer and my high school coach," Hendley told DeaconSports this week. "I'm lifting everyday and working with the team."

"Right now we're focused on our team," Hendley continued. "My high school coach is working on pulling me to the perimeter this season and I think we're looking pretty good. We're pretty deep this year and not too young. I think we'll be real good across the board."

While Hendley is busy working out daily, he also works to keep in touch with fellow verbals Jeremy Ingram and Chris Paul. He also takes trips to Winston-Salem whenever possible. "I'm trying to get up before the season starts once every month or so," Hendley said. "I'd swing by and check things out."

Speaking of checking out Wake Forest, Hendley took his official visit to Wake Forest on the weekend of October 12th where he attended Midnight Madness. "I loved Midnight Madness," Hendley said. "I thought the guys played really well and really hard. I thought they played together and had energy too," Hendley noted.

The 6-8 combo forward told DeaconSports that Sanford High's first scrimmage is November 7th and their first real game is November 18th against Southeast Raleigh.
